Obituary of Barrie S. Bunner
Barrie S. Bunner, age 73, a long-time resident of Middletown Township, PA, passed away peacefully after a sudden illness surrounded by his loving family on April 3, 2015, at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center in Philadelphia, PA.
Born in Birmingham, England, he lived in Wales and his fondest memories were of Sennybridge. As a child in Wales, Barrie enjoyed being a boy scout and playing soccer. He and his family were very proud of their Welsh heritage. Barrie came to America on the Queen Mary at the age of 14. Barrie graduated from Chichester High School in 1959, and Widener University (formerly Pennsylvania Military College) in 1963 with a degree in mechanical engineering. He was employed by Gulf Oil/Chevron/Sunoco Refinery in Philadelphia, PA as the Superintendent of the Engineering Department.
He was a former member of Middletown Presbyterian Church and was presently a member of Ridley Park Presbyterian Church. He always enjoyed being with his family, grandchildren, and friends. He loved gardening, swimming in his pool, reading, and traveling. He was an active member of Kirkwood Fitness and Racquetball Club, where he enjoyed playing racquetball.
Barrie was the son of the late Ernest and Mary (Boxhall) Bunner. He was preceded in death by his sister, Gillian.

He is survived by his loving wife: M. Louise (Hampe) Bunner (a retired teacher of the Rose Tree Media and Penn Delco school districts) to whom he was married for 47 years
Son: Michael Bunner (Marie Wilcom Bunner) of Springfield, PA
Daughter: Jennifer Simpson (Christian) of East Stroudsburg, PA
Grandchildren: Steven and Morgan
Close Family Friend: Elizabeth "Suzy" Lichliter of Chadds Ford, PA
