Obituary of George L. Ferguson

George L. Ferguson, age 86, of Aston, PA, and formerly of Upland, PA, died Thursday, April 2, 2015, at Riddle Memorial Hospital. George was a graduate of Eddystone High School. He was a Veteran of the US Army serving in World War II, and the Korean Conflict. George was employed with Westinghouse, Lester, PA, as an Industrial Radiologist, until his retirement. After his retirement from Westinghouse, he was employed with Elwyn Institute. Mr. Ferguson was a founding member of the Upland Baptist Church. George was an avid baseball fan, and he especially enjoyed the Phillies. He was called by the Phillies to play catcher, but was drafted by the Army to serve in Korea. George was the husband of the late Helen Essaf Ferguson who died in 1994; father of the late George L. Ferguson, Jr. who died in 1999; son of the late James F. and Annie E. Thompson Ferguson.
