Obituary of Robert F. Foltz

Robert F. Foltz, age 89, of Elizabethtown, PA, died Thursday, January 22, 2015, at Masonic Village of Elizabethtown, PA. Bob was raised in Marcus Hook, PA and had been a resident of Wallingford, PA from 1957 to 2009, before moving to Elizabethtown, PA, 5 years ago. He was a graduate of Eddystone High School. Bob was a proud Veteran of the US Navy during WWII. He served in the Atlantic and Pacific Theater on the USS Naife Destroyer Escort 352, and was awarded the European Theater Ribbon, Pacific Theater Ribbon, American Theater Ribbon, Victory Medal, and the Philippine Liberation Ribbon. Bob began his career with American Viscose Company, Marcus Hook, PA, and later with Sun Oil Company, Marcus Hook, PA, where he was the Manager of Health and Safety. Bob was a parishioner of the Church of St. John Chrysostom, Wallingford, PA, where he served as Head Usher for more than 40 years. He was a member of Viscose Fire Company, Marcus Hook, PA and a life member of Garden City Fire Company Station #65, from 1957 until he moved from the area in 2009. Bob served as the original Nether Providence Fire Marshall. Bob was a life member of Brookhaven VFW Post #7060, and the Delaware County Fireman's Association.
