Obituary of Winifred T. Wilkerson

Winifred T. (Dooner) Wilkerson, “Ms. Winnie”, age 94, of Aston, PA, died at home on January 3, 2015. Mrs. Wilkerson was born in Philadelphia, PA, and had been a resident of Aston Twp., since 1954. Winifred was a graduate of Yeadon High School. She worked at St. Joseph’s School as a lunch mother for 25 years, until her retirement in 2005. Winifred was a parishioner of the Church of St. Joseph since 1954. She enjoyed playing pinochle and loved animals. A woman devoted to her home and family, Winifred especially cherished spending time with loved ones. Daughter of the late John Dooner and Winifred McGuire Dooner. Wife of the late Harry D. Wilkerson, who died in 1995. Sister of the late Catherine Kronbar, John Dooner, William Dooner, Mary Clark-Wilson and Joseph Dooner. Survivors: Daughters: Eileen Wyant of Bel Air, MD, Maureen Erickson (Edward) of Aston, PA, and Joanne Wilkerson of Tucson, AZ. Sons: Gerald Wilkerson (Shellie) of Manville, NJ, Robert Wilkerson (Cheryl) of West Grove, PA, and James Wilkerson (Paula) of Logan Twp., NJ.
