Obituary of Henry J. Crofcheck
Henry J. "Hank" Crofcheck, age 95, of Chester, PA, died Monday, December 15, 2014, at the Wallingford Nursing Home. He was born in Shenandoah, PA, and has been a long-time resident of Chester, PA.
Hank was employed with Union Carbide, until his retirement. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during World War II, in the Pacific Theater. Hank fought in the battle of New Guinea, and was the recipient of the American Theater Ribbon, Asiatic Pacific Theater Ribbon, Philippine Liberation Ribbon and World War II Victory Ribbon.
A Mr. Fix it, Hank could repair anything and was always available to help neighbors or anyone in need. A happy and kind man, Hank enjoyed life.
Henry was predeceased by his wife, Florence M. Haley Crofcheck; step-son, Kyran Cowley; six brothers and six sisters.
