Obituary of Mark Eugene Furey

Mark E. Furey, Jr., Age 74 A loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother Mark E. Furey, Jr. of South Dartmouth, MA, formerly of Sea Isle City, NJ and Aston, PA, died Tuesday, July 15, 2014. Gene was born in Philadelphia, PA, and grew up in Ridley, PA. He resided in Aston Township, PA, for more than 30 years, moving to Sea Isle, NJ, before moving to South Dartmouth, MA, in 2011, to be with his family. Gene was a 1957 graduate of the former St James Catholic High School, Chester, PA. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy, 1957-1960, and was awarded the Good Conduct Medal. Gene worked as a Police Officer in Ridley Township, PA, for seven years. He later worked with Philadelphia Electric Company for 38 years, retiring as a Gas and Electric Detailer. Gene loved his family and most of all, enjoyed spending every day with his grandchildren. He was the son of the late Mark E. and Anne O'Donnell Furey. SURVIVORS Wife: Louise J.
