Obituary of Mary Elizabeth Maloney

Mary E. "Betty" Maloney, age 89, of Aston Twp., PA, died Friday, June 20, 2014, at the Crozer-Chester Medical Center. Born in Philadelphia, PA, Betty had been a resident of Aston Twp., PA, for the past 57 years. A graduate of West Catholic Girls High School Class of 1942, Betty had received an honorary degree from Neumann University in 1999. Mrs. Maloney had been employed in upper management with Western Union in credit & collection for 36 years, retiring in 1984. She later worked for the Pier Association for 5 years. Devoted to her home and family, she had a passion for the arts. She was a member of the Church of St. Joseph, Aston, PA. Wife of the late James D. Maloney, Sr., and mother of the late Edward P.
