Obituary of Theodore F. Cramer
Theodore "Ted" F. Cramer, 84, of Wallingford, PA, died Friday, April 4, 2014 at Crozer-Chester Medical Center. Mr. Cramer was born in Williamsburg, PA, to the late Michael and Anna (Orenish) Cramer. He graduated from California University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Industrial Arts and History. He received his Masters in Special Education and School Counseling at Penn State University and Temple University. He was pursuing his Doctorate in Education at Temple University.
Ted worked with the Penn Delco School District for 33 years, starting as an Industrial Arts and Special Education Teacher, and retiring as Assistant Superintendent in 1994. He never used a sick day. Prior to his work as an educator, he served in the United States Marine Corps from 1951-1953.
Mr. Cramer was a member since 1962 of St. Mary Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Chester, PA, where he served on the Board of Trustees and on multiple Committees. He was active in Boy Scout Troop 272 of Rose Valley, PA, where his two sons achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. Mr. Cramer served as President of the Helen Kate Furness Library and Wallingford Swim Club, and the Board of Directors of CADES. In addition to his civic activities, he was an avid reader, enjoyed working with his hands and spending time with his grandchildren and their dogs, Jesse and Jaycee.
