Obituary of Florence G. Kazlo
Florence (nee Whelan) Kazlo, 93, of LaFayette, NY, previously of Lima, PA, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 21, 2014, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Philadelphia, PA, on October 13, 1920, to the late Mary (nee Nellings) and Edward Whelan.
Florence was a graduate of West Philadelphia High School, and was a long-time employee of the Franklin Mint in Middletown Township, Media, PA. Growing up, she enjoyed spending summers with her family in Wildwood, New Jersey, where she met her husband, John Kazlo.
Married on July 13, 1942, they spent 51 years together before John passed away in August 1993.
Florence enjoyed reading, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a devout Christian who attended church every Sunday.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by three sisters: Doris Wolters, Ann Long, and Eloise MacMullen.
