Obituary of Madelyn G. Sinnott

Madelyn Dorothy Grubb Sinnott died on April 20, 2012. She was born in Weehawken, New Jersey on January 13, 1920 to the late Walter C. Grubb and the late Kathryn Emma Yeaton Grubb. Madelyn attended Pennsylvania State University and received her Registered Nursing certificate from Cornell University at Presbyterian Hospital in New York, New York. Her nursing career encompassed pediatrics, medical-surgical and nursing in physician's offices. Madelyn was active in many Lutheran congregations, chaired many committees and served as President of several congregations. Her hobbies included sewing, playing the piano, singing in church choirs and painting. Madelyn married the late Thomas G. Sinnott of Red Bank, New Jersey and bore four children. Her greatest love was her vocation as a wife and mother, and in later years as a loving grandmother and great grandmother. SURVIVORS Four children: The Rev. Dr. Thomas G. Sinnott, IV of Chestertown, MD, Peter Steven Sinnott, Sr. of Cedarville, Ohio, Meri Kathryn Sigmund of Boothwyn, PA and The Rev.
