I know that Ruth had two important causes in her life. She was a dedicated member of the Delaware County Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution and attended faithfully until recently. She made valuable contributions to our chapter. She was also an important contributor to the Girls Scouts and gave her time and experience to the organization for decades, helping young women to become good citizens. Ruth shared her scouting knowledge and mementos with the Middletown Township Historical Society to help create the scouting display at the Historical Society Museum and make it a success. This is only one example of her many volunteer efforts. She will be missed by both these organizations and the many friends she made along the way.
