Although not a member of the Wakefield family, I always felt very close to their family. As the mother of my best friend since elementary school, Mrs. Wakefield always welcomed me to her home for sleepovers and birthday parties for Martha. She even included me on vacations with them to the beach. As my Girl Scout Leader, Mrs. Wakefield introduced me to the fun of camping and the joys of nature. As a teacher, she inspired me to follow in a similar career and even attended a banquet with me when I received a special teaching award. Mrs. Wakefield was always and a fun and caring adult mentor to me and I will greatly miss her. Thanks for all the good times.
