Condolences
Jen,
My condolences to you and your family. I recall hearing the many stories about your Dad from you and your Mom. May the joy of his life with family and friends outweigh the sorrow with all the great memories of your Dad. I see that you inherited your love for animals from him :-) . May you and your family be at peace and may God continue to bless and keep your family and all that knew and loved him.
Sincerely,
The Weems Family
Words cannot fully capture the impact my grandfather had on my life and the lives of those around him. He was a man of strength, wisdom, and unwavering love. As I reminisce about the moments we shared, I am filled with gratitude for the countless memories he gifted me and the rest of his grandchildren.
Our Pop possessed an incredible zest for life. Whether it was his smile, warm embrace, teaching us how to drive, or crab, he had a way of making everyone feel cherished and valued, including animals. His love knew no boundaries, extending not only to his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren but also to the wider community. He was a pillar of strength, always ready to lend a helping hand.
As I bid farewell, I think I speak for all of his grandchildren and great grandchildren when I say that his legacy will continue in our hearts. His values, his kindness, and his unwavering love will forever shape the people we are and aspire to be. Though we mourn his loss, we celebrate the beautiful life he lived, cherishing the memories that will forever remain etched in our hearts. We will always remember the joy he brought into our lives and the wisdom he imparted.
May his spirit live on, guiding and inspiring us as we navigate life's journey. Rest peacefully Pop, knowing that your love will forever be cherished and your memory forever cherished by many.
Love you much!
Billy
What a great patriarch! As a friend of the family for years, I remember him as strong, quiet, and stern. He and the whole family have always been kind and welcoming, unconditionally. Love to the family, special thoughts to Destiny and Tina. RIP
Ah Frank what a great neighbor he was in Rehoboth Beach. If it needed fixing Frank did it. So many summer nights spent with Frank and Lil. Over the years I've thought about them often and fondly. Hugs to you Lil and all the family. A one of a kind gone. May Frank rest in God's arms. Xo
30 Year Encore -
When I was 23 my mom called me to let me know that my dad had a blood clot in his heart in Rehoboth and the priest came in to give him his last rites and the children should get there as quickly as possible to say goodbye. My ex-husband, sister and I jammed into a Toyota MR2 (2 Seater) and I think we made that 2 hour drive in about an hour. When we got there he didn’t die and the next morning he was up in bed smoking a cigarette and ready to go home.
When I texted my ex after my dad passed on Tuesday he said the best thing. My dad had a 30 year encore. Over the past 30 years there have been many times the doctors and hospitals have counted him out. But he would always bounce back. And even his doctor would joke that he’d think it was the end, only for me to be bringing him back for his after hospital visit the following week.
Our hearts are broken but we are celebrating all the days and memories we have had with our dad.
