Just heard the news from a friend in Philadelphia.
Donny was a tremendous inspiration to me and the game we played against each other provided much motivation in years to come.
One of the best I witnessed and only wish I could have expressed that to him.
As I as a 16 year old junior respected his confidence more then anything.

RIP Donnie....a true legend....will miss out basketball conversations over the years....deepest sympathy to the family....Dave pauley
Donny was my neighbor when i was a little girl, and a very dear friend to my dad (Frank May) especially as the years passed. They both had a crazy love for basketball and sports. Our families were friends for years. To Donny's family, and on behalf of my mom, Maureen May, myself and our family, we wish to offer our sincerest sympathy to all of you. Donny was an amazing man and athlete. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of you. We are so very sorry. With love, Phyllis (May) Lynch
On behalf of the St. James High School Alumni Association and his 1978 classmates, I extend our deepest sympathies and prayers on your loss. On April 23, 2023, the Alumni Association will remember Don at their annual Memorial Mass at St. Madeline's Church in Ridley Park. May he rest in peace!
