Roland Will be Missed. I had met both Roland and Carolan they are so inspiring. It was an honor to purchase Roland’s Chambers Rig. Roland and all he has accomplished, he holds a legacy and his spirit will live on forever.

Sorry for your loss Matt. He was a great man and did a lot in his life.

Roland and Carolan were some of the very first people I met when I started racing sled dogs. Roland was super nice guy and I have memory of helping me get out of a ditch here in the Tug Hill one year when I slid off into the bank.

We will see you on the flip side Roland. You take care, RIP my friend.

My Dear Friend Roland had a lot of health difficulties over the last few years, but I know he is at peace now.

Another thing I KNOW is that Roland is being welcomed into Heaven by a Whole Slew of Siberian Huskies with sloppy wet kisses! RIP Roland! I couldn't have asked for a better sled dog mentor than you.

Besides sled dog stuff, there were MANY fun times spent with Roland and Carolan Appleton meeting up on Friday nites at a favorite Mexican restaurant, and tailgating at Jimmy Buffet concerts, and training dogs meeting up pre-dawn to do so.

On one of those morning training, I remember eating our breakfast Rich made out of the dog's bowls because we forgot paper plates!
