Obituary of Edward Michael Coyne

Media – E. Michael Coyne, age 44, passed away on February 26, 2021.  He loved his family and was a good son, brother, uncle and friend.  He will be missed very much.

Michael was born and raised in Media, PA, and was the son of Mary Sheila Coyne (Robert Kosek) and Peter Joseph Coyne (Lucille Traynor).  Michael graduated from Virginia Tech where he proudly received a degree in Bachelor of Science in Information Technology in 2000.

Michael was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity, a member of the hunting and fishing association, and held his aviation license.  He also enjoyed kayaking, crabbing, riding dirt bikes and being with his family. 

Michael started his career at General Electric where he was able to live abroad in London and Munich, Germany.  He later worked as a mortgage broker at Coastal Lending Group in Baltimore, Maryland, where he assisted and helped families find and finance their dream home.

Michael enjoyed celebrating life events with his family, attending and rooting for his Philadelphia sports teams, running, biking and being on the water.

He is survived by his mother, Sheila Coyne; father, Peter Joseph Coyne; 3 sisters, Elizabeth Cicco (James) of Yardley, PA, Margie Gallo (Damon) of Marlboro, NJ, and Maura Robbins (Scott) of Pittsburgh, PA; 8 nieces and nephews, Joshua, Mackenzie and Emily Cicco, Christopher and Ella Gallo, and Caroline, William and Josephine Robbins. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held privately at Oblates of Saint Joseph Seminary in Pittston, PA.  A live-streaming of this service will be available at 10 am EST on Thursday, March 4^th 2021.

At the family’s request, please do not send flowers but contributions may be made to Oblates of Saint Joseph Seminary, 1880 PA-315, Jenkins Twp., PA 18640.
