Obituary of Dr. William M. Purner, Jr.

William M Purner Jr., DO, age 73, died peacefully at home in Glen Mills, PA on Saturday, March 14, 2020. Dr. Purner was born June 27, 1946 in Lansdowne, PA, to the late William M. and Catherine R. (Lally) Purner, Sr.

Dr. Purner was a graduate of Monsignor Bonner and continued his education at Villanova University and received his doctorate at The Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1973. Dr. Purner held a private practice of Internal Medicine at Riddle Memorial Hospital for 20 years and retired in 2005. Upon retirement, he worked at Inniscrone and Ed Oliver Golf Club.

Dr. Purner was a devout Villanova Wildcats fan and cherished golfing, reading, traveling and surrounding himself with friends.

Husband of the late Kathleen Blair Purner, brother of the late Thomas A. Purner and Kathleen Purner.

Daughters: Amy Purner, Annette (Dan) Zingani, Andrea (Mark) Orsini, Aileen Corradetti, and Alicia (Christopher) Bogdash

Son: William M. (Maureen) Purner, III

16 Beloved Grandchildren and 3 Great-Grandchildren

Funeral Services and Burial are private, with a public memorial service held at a later date.
