Obituary of John J. Rankin, Jr.

John J. Rankin, Jr., "Jack" age 74, of Glen Mills, PA, formerly of Lansdowne, PA, died Tuesday, May 31, 2016, at home surrounded by his loving family. Jack was a railroad contractor with Septa for 22 years, retiring in 2005. Jack was the Lansdowne Mayor for 10 years and a devoted member of council. He was a member of the Union AA, Neighbors Club and Lansdowne Lions Club. Jack was a referee for basketball and lacrosse. He enjoyed spending time at N. Wildwood Beaches, watching the Villanova Wildcats and the Philadelphia Eagles. Most of all, Jack cherished spending time with his family. Son of the late John J. and Eleanor (Butler) Rankin, Sr. Survivors: Wife of 45 years: Marie Peck Rankin Son: John J. (Mallory) Rankin, III.
