Obituary of Nichole R. Scallan

1977-2016 Nichole R. Scallan, (Nee Miles) of Aston, PA, passed away peacefully in her husband’s arms on April 6, 2016, after a long battle with cancer. Born in Aston, PA, on October 7, 1977, she was a highly regarded special education teacher, having graduated from Neumann University in Aston, PA, during which time she worked as the librarian at the University. Her teaching career commenced early in her life, even before she was certified. She taught at Chesterbrook Academy during the summer months while she was in high school and soon after graduation she became permanently employed there. Nichole derived great satisfaction resulting from her uncanny ability to both connect with and relate to very young children, especially those with special needs. Nichole’s greatest joy in life was being a wife and mother to her two children. Nichole is survived by her beloved husband, Jeffrey J. Scallan, her young children Finnigan and McKenna, her mother Andrea Hamilton, her father Kenneth Miles, her two sisters Kristine “Pretty” Seitz and Jaqueline Huffman, her niece Hailey Seitz, her nephew CJ Seitz, numerous aunts, uncles and many close friends.
