Obituary of John J. Simko

John J. Simko, Sr, 63, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2011. He was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, and had been a resident of Parkside, PA for 22 years. John was a man devoted to his family. He was a very detailed oriented person who had the ability to fix and work on any project around his home. He especially enjoyed attending his son's Philadelphia Power Play Hockey Team games and hunting season. John was a Vietnam Vet who was awarded the Vietnam Service Medal w/4 Bronze Service Stars; Combat Infantryman Badge and other medals. John was a Machinist at Werko Machine Company for 22 years before becoming disabled. SURVIVORS: Devoted husband of Janice (nee Masiejczyk) ) Loving father of Laura Alexy, Jennifer (Alex) Larkin and John Simko, Jr. Loving grandfather of Ashley and Lee Brother of Jean (Pat) Matarazzo, Dorothy (John) Barrett and Barbara (Bill) Snyder Son of the late Agnes and Stephen Simko and brother of the late Marge, Christopher and Stevie Simko.
