Obituary of Catherine A. Halpin
Catherine A. Brink Halpin, age 90, of Upland, PA, formerly of Drexel Hill, PA, died Thursday, June 11, 2015. Catherine was born July 2, 1924 in Plattsmouth, Nebraska. Catherine attended Villanova University and received a degree in library science. Catherine was the Head Librarian at Saint Charles Borromeo School in Drexel Hill, PA for many years. Her devotion to the school and the children, made the library there a loving place to read and learn. Mrs. Halpin enjoyed her bridge and pinochle groups. She was a longtime parishioner of Our Lady of Charity Roman Catholic Church.
She was the wife of the late Leo A. Halpin, Sr. and the mother of the late Catherine Ridge, Leo A. Halpin, Jr. and Barbara Peck.
Survivors:
4 Daughters: Anne (Jacques) Choiniere, Patricia Halpin, Marie Halpin and Dorothy (Raymond) Nungesser
2 Sons: John Halpin and Charles Halpin
Also survived by 11 Grandchildren and 7 Great-Grandchildren
Memorial Mass: Friday, June 26th at 10:30AM, at the church of Our Lady of Charity, 231 Upland Ave, Brookhaven, PA 19015
Visitation: Friday from 9:00-10:00AM at the Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Middletown (Rte.#352) & Knowlton Rds. Middletown Twp., Media, PA 19063
Interment: St. Charles Borromeo Churchyard, Drexel Hill, PA
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in memory of Catherine, to the church of Our Lady of Charity, at the above address.
