Obituary of Charlotte H. Hewlings

Charlotte (nee Hasson) Hewlings, 90, of Middletown Twp., died Monday, December 20, 2010 at home. Born in Twin Oaks, PA, she had been a resident of Chester before moving to Middletown Twp 10 years ago. A graduate of Chester High School, she was employed by Delaware County Court House for 42 years until her retirement in 1992, as a Law Librarian. A life long member of St Paul's Episcopal Church, Chester, PA. Charlotte was devoted to her family and her greatest joy was spending time with them at her summer home in South Bethany, Delaware. She was a volunteer on the Junior Board at Crozer Hospital and a member of the West Chester Chapter of the Eastern Star. Predeceased by her beloved husband of 60 years Charles M. Hewlings who died in February 2000, a brother Clarence J. Hasson and sister Maudelene Hasson Daltry. SURVIVORS: One Son and Daughter-in-Law with whom she lived, Charles H. and Joan B. Hewlings of Media, PA; Three Grandchildren: Sherri (Samuel) Kopec; Susan J. Hewlings, and Charles (Mary Kate) Hewlings, Jr. Four Great-Grandchildren MEMORIAL GIFTS: The family requests no flowers.
