Obituary of Isabelle A. Meenen

Isabelle A. Meenen, age 95, of Lima Estates and formerly of Gradyville, PA died Thursday, February 7, 2013. Isabelle grew up in Philadelphia, PA with her 4 sisters and 2 brothers with whom she maintained a life- long bond. Her dream was to work with the CIA, but she could never have kept a secret from her sisters. Isabelle married Kenneth R. Meenen on July 31, 1943 and as a homemaker her creative talents were awakened. She was a talented seamstress and cook and holiday family gatherings were her specialty. After raising two daughters, Isabelle returned to work with Butler, Beatty, Greer and Johnson as a Legal Assistant until she retired at age 68. Isabelle was an active member of Christ Church, Media, PA, where she served as an Acolyte and diligently studied the Bible. Isabelle was fluent in the Greek language, she traveled to Greece many times, as well as Italy, Russia, Israel, Turkey and England. Wife of the late Kenneth R.
