Obituary of Alfred Lalli

Alfred Lalli, Jr. "Al", age 71, of Middletown Twp., Media, PA, died peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, January 31, 2013. Mr. Lalli was born, and raised in South Philadelphia, PA. He was a graduate of South Philadelphia High School and a veteran of the US Air Force. Al was with Boeing for 37 years, retiring as a toolmaker in 2004. Al was a passionate sportsman who played professional baseball with the Pittsburg Pirates. He served as a referee for PIAA Volleyball and also at the collegiate level. He worked as an umpire for softball and baseball and was involved in his children's sports coaching. He enjoyed fishing and kayaking at the Jersey shore, especially in Cape May. Al was a member of the V.F.W. Aston Post #926. Al was a devoted husband and father, who most of all, loved spending time with his family. Al was a man who always put others before himself.
