Obituary of Edward W. Furlong

Edward W. Furlong, III, age 79, of Upland, PA, died Sunday, December 23, 2012 at Wallingford Nursing Home. Mr. Furlong was born in Hopewell, PA. Edward was employed at Scott Paper Company as a Parent Roll Handler for more than 30 years until retirement. Edward was dedicated to his country, serving in the US Air Force, US Marines and US Army Reserves. Mr. Furlong was a longtime devoted member of the American Legion Post #926, where he was actively involved. Edward was a 49 year member of the Chester Masonic Lodge 236 F&AM. Edward was a member of the Upland Baptist Church. He enjoyed the Philadelphia Phillies. He was the son of the late Edward W. Furlong and brother of the late Shirley Austin.
