Obituary of James C. McGarvey

James C. McGarvey, 83, of Brookhaven, PA, died Saturday, June 16, 2012. James was a 1946 Graduate of St. Thomas Moore High School. He was employed by General Electric for more than 30 years. James was a U.S. Navy Veteran. Mr. McGarvey was a parishioner of Our Lady of Charity Church, Brookhaven, PA and was active in building their Athletic Program. James was a longtime Brookhaven Football and Baseball coach and a supporter of Brookhaven's athletic program. As a young man, James was honored to tryout with the Brooklyn Dodgers. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed horse racing. Husband of the late Mary Louisa Faccenda McGarvey who died in 2010 Survivors: 2 Sons: James J. McGarvey of Brookhaven, PA and Charles J.
