Obituary of Merilyn Jackson Straut

Merilyn "Merri" (nee Jackson) Straut, A Gracious Lady, of Media, PA passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 1, 2012 at home. Merri was born in Fall River, MA to the late Irving and Ruth Jackson. She had been a resident of Media, PA since 1963. Merri was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family. Merri will be remembered for her many gifts including love, grace and strength. She was a homemaker and co-owner of her husband's auto body business Suburban Motors in Media, PA. Merri was the go to person in the business who could be counted on to get the job done. Merri was the beloved wife of 59 years to the late Frederick G. Straut who together raised 4 children. SURVIVORS Sons: Russell (Judy) Straut of Garnet Valley, PA and Ronald F. (Karen) Straut of Clearmont, Florida Daughters: Joyce (Bill) Massey of Linwood, PA and Janis (Philip) Tappenden of Glen Mills, PA Also survived by 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren who she adored Sister: Betty Warner of Lansdale, PA Service and Interment are private.
