Obituary of Kathleen A. Keenan

On Sunday, September 15, 2024, Kathleen (McShane) Keenan, loving mother, daughter, sister, and friend passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family.

Kathleen was born on July 28, 1965 in Darby, Pennsylvania to Philip and Eileen (Flynn) McShane. She attended Cardinal O’Hara High school and later went on to attend Neumann University to become a Phlebotomist. Throughout her life she had many roles including lab tech., office manager, school lunch aide, and customer service representative but her favorite role was being a mother and grandmother.

She devoted her life to her five children Colleen Coale (Matthew), Katherine Brennan (Christopher), Patrick Keenan (Lauren),  Kelly Keenan (Michael),  and Danny Keenan (Teagan) but truly loved being the best Nana to her seven grandchildren Riley, Maggie, Reagan, Christopher, Olivia, Lucas, and Cayleigh. She took so much joy in making ice cream sundaes, building forts, and cuddling with her grand babies. She is survived by her husband John Keenan, father, her brothers and sister, and extended family. Kathleen is predeceased by her mother her beloved aunt Kathleen “Kay” Phillips.

Kathleen was a lifelong baseball fan and was always encouraging her family and friends to cheer the Phillies on with her. She enjoyed country line dancing with her amazing friends and took on learning even the most challenging dances. Kathleen was a jack of all trades and avid do-it-yourselfer; tackling even the most daunting home improvement projects.

Visitation: Friday, September 20th after 10:00AM at Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Middletown (Rte.#352)  & Knowlton Rds., Middletown Twp., Media, PA 19063.

Funeral Service: Friday, September 20th at 11:00AM at the funeral home.

Interment: SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
