Obituary of Linda E. Kirby

Linda E. (Scott) Kirby, age 73, of Upland, PA, died with her loving family by her side on July 22, 2024. Linda was born in Upland, PA. She was a 1968 graduate of Notre Dame High School, Moylan, PA. 

Linda was the Customer Care Manager with PNB Bank, now Wells Fargo for 38 years.  After retiring, Linda worked at the Media Courthouse in the juvenile division for 8 years.

Linda was currently a tax collector of Upland Borough and previously served on the Upland Borough Council.

Linda was a regular fixture and volunteer at St. Thomas the Apostle School in Glen Mills and was affectionately known as Mom-Mom to all.  Mom-Mom enjoyed watching all of the games played by her beautiful grandchildren and their friends at both St. Thomas and Archmere Academy. Mom-Mom was the biggest cheerleader at all sporting events, and especially enjoyed ringing her cow bell at her grandsons football games. 

Daughter of the late Richard D. Scott and Justine M. (Kirkman) Scott; Predeceased by her Nana, Alice (Laird) Scott; nephew, Daniel Haney, and many beloved Aunts and Uncles.

Survivors:

Husband of 50 years: William J. “Bill” Kirby, Jr.

Daughter: Justine M. (Brian) Hartman

Grandchildren: Brian Jr. (Shortstack), Justin (Turtle Bug) and Alexandria (Tinkerbell) Hartman

Sister: Donna Marie (Joseph) Haney

Best Friend: Doris (the late Tom) Bradley

Also survived by many nieces, nephews and in-laws.

Visitation: Saturday, July 27^th from 9:30-10:45 AM at the Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Middletown (Rte. #352) and Knowlton Rds., Middletown Twp., Media, PA 19063.

Funeral Service: Saturday, July 27^th at 11:00AM at the funeral home.

Interment will be private.
