Obituary of Elizabeth Zwijsen
Elizabeth (Dreyer) Zwijsen, “Betty” age 102, of Glen Mills, PA, formerly of Philadelphia, PA, died on Sunday, January 21, 2024. Betty was born in Philadelphia, PA, and was a graduate of Simon Gratz High School.
Betty was a proud U.S. Navy Veteran, serving during WWII.
She was a parishioner of The Church of St. Thomas the Apostle. Betty enjoyed sewing, crafting, crocheting and was a fabulous baker. Most of all, Betty was devoted to her family and cherished spending time together.
Wife of the late John William Zwijsen and she was predeceased by her siblings.
Survivors:
Daughters: Elizabeth (Jerry) Brown, Carol (Paul) Weyhmuller
Grandchildren: Lauren, Adrianne, Elizabeth (Mike), Philip (Brittany), Jessica (Patrick), SarahGreat-Grandchildren: Briana, Joseph, Maria, Jacob, William, Jocelyn, Juliet, Olivia
Also survived by nieces and nephews
Visitation: Tuesday, January 30th from 9:30-10:15AM at the Church of St. Thomas the Apostle, 430 Valleybrook Rd., Glen Mills, PA, 19342.
Funeral Mass: Tuesday, January 30th at 10:30AM at the Church of St. Thomas the Apostle.
Interment: St. Thomas the Apostle Churchyard.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in memory of Betty to: Rev. Richard. S. MacLaren, First Presbyterian Church of Perkasie, 121 North Fifth Street, Perkasie, PA 18944, to continue the ministry of her nephew.
