Obituary of John James Williams, Jr.

 

 

John J. Williams, Jr. “Jack” age 80, of Malvern, PA, formerly of Aston, PA, died on Monday, October 23, 2023, surrounded by his loving daughters. Jack was born April 12, 1943.  He grew up on Fox Valley Farm in Glen Mills, PA.  Jack graduated from Brown Technical High School in Wilmington, Delaware, Class of 1962.   Jack was a manager with Sun Oil Company and retired in 1998.

 

Mr. Williams was a U.S. Air Force Veteran.   He worked as a dental assistant with the military.

 

Jack was an avid hunter and fisherman.  He loved animals, especially his cat, Phil and dog, Gus.  Most of all, Jack was proud of his grandchildren.

 

Son of the late John J. Williams, Sr. and Eva Griest Boyer; Step-Son of the late Matthew Opdenaker and Joseph W. Boyer; former husband and friend to the late Rosalie Williams.

 

Survivors:

Daughters: Michelle (Jimmy) Saunders of Aston, PA, and Cheri Camp of Malvern, PA, with whom he lived.

Grandchildren: Megan, Madison, Jack and Brodie

Beloved Cousins, Barbara Mansis of Brooksville, FL, and Emily Ferreri of Lincoln University

Step-Brother: William Boyer of Egg Harbor Twp., NJ

 

Visitation: Wednesday, November 1st from 11:00-12:15PM at the Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Middletown (Rte. #352) & Knowlton Rds. Middletown Twp., Media, PA 19063.

 

Funeral Service: Wednesday, November 1st at 12:30PM at the funeral home.

 

Interment will be private.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: Providence Animal Center, 555 Sandy Bank Rd., Media, PA 19063.
