Obituary of Walter Turnicky
Walter Turnicky, “ Pop”, age 91, of Boothwyn, PA, died on Tuesday, August 22, 2023. Walter was born March 8, 1932 in Chalfont, PA. Walter was employed for more than 20 years in maintenance with Garnet Valley School District.
Walter was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving in Germany during the Korean War.
Pop enjoyed fishing and hunting in his earlier years. He found much enjoyment in metal detecting later in life and belong to clubs including the Sneaky Pete Club. Pop most valuable find was a George Washington inauguration button. Pop was known for his quick-witted jokes and to his Great-Grandaughter's enjoyment, card and magic tricks. Pop could fix anything. He had a love for his many dogs and cats. Pop loved his family and will be deeply missed.
Husband of the late Joyce L. (Newlin) Turnicky, Son of the late Andrew and Pauline Turnicky.

Daughter: Cynthia M. (Charles) MacIntosh of Garnet Valley, PA
Son: Walter Turnicky, Jr. (Lori McQuilling) of Starford, PA
Grandson: Dr. Christian J. Lehr (Dr. Mary Sweeney-Lehr) of Wilmington, DE
Great-Grandaughter: Isabella K. Lehr
Services and Interment will be private.
