Obituary of Nancy L. O’Donnell

Nancy Lee O’Donnell (nee Hunter) July 5, 1951-August 18, 2023 of Wilmington, DE formally of Collingdale, PA. Nancy was a strong woman who fought several health battles for many years. Sadly, on Friday, August 18, 2023 while surrounded by family, she lost her final battle. Nancy was a beloved teacher at Delaware County Head Start for 13 years. She loved music and was a great dancer. She was a fantastic cook and loved cooking for her family and friends. Everyone will miss her pumpkin bread that she gifted every Christmas. Nancy also loved crafting and crocheting. She had the gift of gab and her voice will surely be missed. She passed these gifts and many others down to several of her grandchildren. Her greatest joy in life was her family, especially her grandchildren which were many as every child was loved by “Mom Mom Nancy” and they loved her in return. Nancy was married to Joe, who was the love of her life, for over 49 years. Their love grew stronger every year and was and still is an inspiration to her children, grandchildren and all who knew them.

Nancy is survived by her husband Joe, children Carol (Ed), Joe (Sarah), Jason and Loretta (Dean). Also, countless grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her mother and father, Nathaniel & Ann Hunter and her brother, Robert Hunter. Nancy was one of the good ones who will be gravely missed by all who were lucky enough to have met her.

Funeral Service: Wednesday, August 23^rd at 6:30PM at Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Middletown (Rte. #352) & Knowlton Rds, Middletown Twp., Media, PA 19063.

Visitation: Wednesday, August 23^rd from 5:00-6:15PM at the funeral home.

Interment will be private.
