Obituary of Nancy Cavanaugh

Anne M. Cavanaugh “Nancy”, age 99, of Middletown Township, Media, PA, and formerly of Upper Darby, PA, died on August 8, 2023 at Riddle Memorial Hospital.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, Nancy was a graduate of West Catholic High School.

Nancy had previously worked in the home health care profession and later continued to help families in need.

A loving Mom, Nancy was devoted to her home and family, and raising her seven children. Nancy enjoyed crocheting and was an avid reader. She had an infectious laugh and an outstanding sense of humor.

An active church member, Nancy had attended St. Laurence Church, Upper Darby, PA, Bethany Presbyterian Church, Havertown PA, and the Church of the Nazarene, Milford, DE.

Wife of the late Thomas J. Cavanaugh of 55 years, Daughter of the late William H. and Mary Buschell Keen, and her late Aunt Anna Davis who raised her.

Survivors: Children: Kathleen Cavanaugh, Anne Cavanaugh, Terese (Ed) Schneider, Paul (Carole) Cavanaugh, Sue (Peter) Miller, Joe (Toni) Cavanaugh, and Tom (Deb) Cavanaugh. Also survived by 25 grandchildren and 52 great-grandchildren.

Visitation: Tuesday, August 29th from 4:30-6:45PM at the Minshall Shropshire- Bleyler Funeral Home, Middletown (Rte. #352) & Knowlton Rds., Middletown Twp., Media, PA 19063.

Funeral Service: Tuesday, August 29th at 7:00PM at the funeral home.

Interment with Graveside Services: Wednesday, August 30th at 11:00AM at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE 19701.
