Obituary of Shyam G. Sujan

Shyam G. Sujan, “Granpa” age, 80, of Media, PA, died on May 31, 2023 at home.  Born on March 14, 1943, He was a graduate of the College of Engineering Pune, India.

Shyam worked many years at Westinghouse and Boeing and traveled extensively as a result of those jobs, but his true calling was service work for his family and his fellows.  He was a friend of Bill W, and he was recently recognized for his many years of volunteerism for the community and residents of the borough of Media.

Shyam was a friend of Bill W and a long time Board Member and participant on the Media Borough Recreation Board.  Shyam loved to boat on the Delaware River and Keuka Lake, and he loved to fish.  He was a huge Philadelphia sports fan, and he arranged tickets for groups of friends.  Shyam loved his family dearly, and most of all, he loved his grandchildren.

 He was predeceased by; Jai S. Sujan (son), Molly E. Sujan (ex-wife), Vimla Hartmann (sister), Ghanshyam Sujan and Gopi Sujan (parents), Kim Hartmann and Paul Hartmann (nephews).

Survivors:

Megan Sujan Atkinson and Rob Atkinson (daughter and son-in-law) and Caroline, Will and Molly Atkinson (grandchildren). 

M. Neelam Sujan Lindquist and David Lindquist (daughter and son-in-law) and Jemma and Gracie Lindquist (grandchildren).

Mona Hartmann Jaffery (niece) and her husband Ali Jaffery and their children, Joachim Hartmann (nephew) and his wife Alvinder Hartmann and their children.

Anne and Kent Salisbury (sister and brother in-law), Ben (nephew) and his wife Darcy Salisbury and their children, and Judd Salisbury (nephew) and his wife Nikki Sprinkle and their child.
