Condolences
I would like to pass on my condolences to all who were fortunate enough to know and cross paths with James. We worked together a short while in late 2021 into early 2022 and despite only knowing each other briefly I could tell he was going to be a lifelong friend. I enjoyed stories of his time at Temple, many trips snowboarding, and his passion for both hunting and motorcycles. I truly enjoyed the time I was able to spend with James and know his memory will live on. I am saddened that he was taken this early but may we all find comfort in the fact that he is in Gods loving embrace and smiling down on us all.
Rest in Peace
My deepest condolences to the Silvey family. My thoughts and prayers for strength and peace are with you. James was a good friend one that someone is fortunate to find in their life. I will miss his greatly.
My deepest condolences to the Silvey family during this difficult time. I worked with James on my very first projects at Bernardon, and he was an excellent mentor and team leader to have. We had many great conversations, and he had my sincerest support during his treatments. I'm very sorry to hear of his passing, and may his family and friends find solace in the memories of joyful times spent together.
Dear James, You were a fine, solid friend to many of the two-wheeler riders in Phila and PA. We have ridden all over PA and other states in groups of like-minded folks. You were always a good rider, always looking out for everyone in our group, very cognizent of our needs and safety. Recently last two years, you came out the country to ride with just a few of us. We were very fortunate to share our time with You sir. Thank you for sharing many good times with us. God Speed James, Riding with the Angels,
Sending our condolences to Jim & Florence and family. There are no words we can speak at this time of such a loss. May God give you all the serenity Enjoy the memories that you have. Joseph &Ellen Hemighaus
Deepest condolences, I am in shock - so young for this old friend to pass away. Beside myself right now.
My sincere condolence to the Silvey Family. I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers. Sharon Batten
My sincerest condolences to James’s family. James joined our team at Bernardon earlier this year and played a large roll on many of our projects through his dedicated and love of Architecture. Even during his treatment, he chose to work as much as possible and contribute any way he could. We will be forever grateful for his dedication and for the positive impact he had on all of us. May he rest in peace. - Mike McCloskey and the team at Bernardon.
I worked with James for a short while before his health started to decline. He was a very nice person who was determined and prideful. He had my support during his diagnosis and battle and he will continue to have my thoughts in his passing. My heart is with his family and friends. May fond memories always stay with you to keep James present.
We were planning on setting up a few classic bikes to participate in some AHRMA racing with the NY Celtic riders. He had mentioned to me a few times that this was one of his dreams so we each picked up a classic bike. Myself an MZ Skorpion and he an SV 650.
We met back in 2009 as a member of the Philadelphia Riders. Not really a club but more people who share a similar passion for riding. We spent tons of time working on our bikes and planning out the gear we would need in order to get our racing credentials when he found out about his brain cancer.
He really was hoping to beat it long enough to ride into 2023. He fought really hard so he could continue to be a good son, brother, and friend to all of us.
I've gotten word to many of his motorcycle friends about his passing so hope we show up in full to give me a proper sendoff.
I would like to offer my condolences to all his friends and family during this difficult time.
I knew James through the Philadelphia Riders, rode with him and had lots of dinners with him. In the last few months, James and I spoke about his illness, his friends and his hopes for the future. I'm so sorry he's gone, he was way too young and will be missed.
