Well, there goes the neighborhood. How lucky I was to have lived on Beechwood with such great neighbors. It was a rare thing, I hear, for families to buy their homes new and stay there. After 30 years, everyone went to dinner together to celebrate paying off their mortgages. I have more Moody memories than I could count - so many hours spent at their house..... I've often thought about Mrs. Moody (and the rest of the family too). I wish you comfort at this difficult time.
Janice, Judy, Paul and all family, You have been in my prayers and thoughts. I have such wonderful memories of growing up with your family. Your mom and dad was such a large influence in my life. I always appreciated the commitment they had to the youth of Upland Baptist. Doris was so kind and gentle. I pray during this difficult time, the fond memories and God holding you will help you all. God Bless, Cheryl Loftus
Grandmom (Doris), we have been blessed by sharing many cards, dominoes, outings and times and truly feeling part of your family. Your spontaneous quips such as, “Damn!” and “What’s his name” always make us chuckle! We will all be together with Jesus and God, as Grandmom wrote in her last note. We will have a huge family and friends revival.
Loving and happy memories, Dale & Donna DeKinder
Sending my prayers for Janice and Judy and all the family. I remember Doris and of course Earl so fondly with many happy days at Upland Baptist Church. I was blessed to be their pastor and thankful to both of them for their faithfulness. Again sending my thoughts and prayers to all of you!
She was a beautiful souls and I was honored to be a part of her life. I thank her family for sharing her with me.
We came to know Doris through our Daughter-in-law, Tracee and the extended Curlett family. What a blessing to the Curletts for being able to enjoy her compassion, dry wit and sense of humor, and love for her family for so many years. Our fondest memory is of playing games w/Doris at the Curletts, especially Catch Phrase. She was very good at games and it was a delight to be around such a vibrant lady well into her 90s! Rest in Peace Doris. Our deepest sympathy goes out to her immediate family and friends as we know she will be dearly missed. God gave her many amazing years and many fond memories for everyone to cherish forever.
With warm regards,
Larry and Linda Linder

Doris and Earl Moody were good friends of my parents Price and Ann Taylor. I always thought that both Doris and Earl were the nicest people. I know Earl Moody sadly passed some years ago but have often wondered about Doris. My heart goes out to her family. I admired how close she and Janice were. I live the first five years of my married life in Parkside. Even now when I ride through to get a sandwich from Phil and Jim’s I remember them living there. Such nice people, glad my parents had them as friends.
