Obituary of Mary Ellen Buddle-McKinley

Mary Ellen Buddle-McKinley, age 78, of Claymont, DE, formerly of Brookhaven, PA, died suddenly and peacefully on Friday, March 11, 2022. Mary was a graduate of Haverford High School, Class of 1962.

Mary was a devoted Borough Manager in Brookhaven for 30 years, retiring in 2020.  Previously she was the Upland Borough secretary for 5 years.

She was a longtime parishioner of the Church of Our Lady of Charity.  Mary Ellen was an accomplished seamstress, sewing her own wedding dress and her bridesmaid dresses.  She also made children’s clothing.  Mary enjoyed baking and gardening. Most importantly to Mary was the times she spent with her family.

Wife of the late William Buddle and William McKinley; Daughter of the late Edward H. and Ruth (Almond) Seeley; Sister of the late Elizabeth Clark; Granddaughter of the late Mary Almond, who raised Mary Ellen.

Survivors:

Sons: William John (Renee) Buddle III of Wallingford, PA and Jeffrey S. Buddle of Claymont, DE.

Daughter: Andrea (Cory) Buddle of Townsend, DE.

Grandchildren: Penelope, Lily, Ruby, Remy, Rhys, Isabella, Angela, Neal

Sister: Ruth V. Wiedinmyer

Brothers: Robert E. (Nancy) Seeley and Warren (Yvonne) Seeley

Also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews

Visitation: Thursday, March 17^th from 9:30-11:15AM at Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Ltd., Middletown (Rte. #352) & Knowlton Rds., Middletown Twp., Media, PA 19063.

Funeral Mass: Thursday, March 17^th at 12Noon at The Church of Our Lady of Charity, 231 Upland Rd., Brookhaven, PA 19015.

 Interment: Glenwood Memorial Gardens.
