Obituary of Vincent Marotta

On Wednesday, February 23rd, 2022, Vincent Lopardi Marotta, loving Husband, Father of two children and Grandfather of 3, passed away at the age of 69.

Vinnie was born on January, 22nd, 1953 in Pelham, NY, to Bonifacio & Rose (Lopardi) Marotta. He received a degree in psychology from Widener University and worked as a Program Manager in the banking industry for 30+ years. On October 8th, 1983, he married Marlene Marotta. They raised a son, Michael, and a daughter, Victoria.

He attended Pelham High School where he was a star football player and made many life long friends. He met his wife of 39 years, Marlene, at Widener University and had a passion for all things sports. He coached his children throughout their lives, was a diehard New York sports fan, and avid golfer. Vinnie was also a music lover and collector of sports memorabilia. He was known for his sense of humor, bigger than life personality, dedication to his family, and perseverance.

Vincent was preceded in death by his father Bonifacio, his mother, Rose, and his brother, John.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Marlene, his children Michael (Julia) and Victoria, his sister Lori (Mark), his granddaughters Adalyn, Bria, and Eliana, his cousins, and his nieces & nephews. 

Visitation: Saturday, March 5th from 10:00-10:30AM at the Church of St. Joseph, 3255 Concord Rd., Aston, PA 19014

Funeral Mass: Saturday, March 5th at 10:30AM at the Church of St. Joseph

Interment: Mt. Hope Cemetery
