Obituary of Betty Jane Gillingham

Betty Jane (Lowe) Gillingham, “BJ” age 92, of Parkside, PA, died Tuesday, December 14, 2021 after a brief illness. "BJ" was born January 30, 1929 in Chester, PA, and was a graduate of Chester High School, Class of 1947. Betty Jane was a secretary at Penn Delco School District for 20 years, until retiring in 1991.

She also was a member of St. John Episcopal Church, Concord, PA.

"BJ" enjoyed sewing and reading mystery novels.  Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.

Daughter of the late William Henry and Nellie (Barnett) Lowe, wife of the late Wayland G. Gillingham, Sr., sister of the late William Henry Lowe, Jr. 

Survivors:

Son: Wayland G. (Linda) Gillingham, Jr. of Lancaster, PA

Daughter: Kim Gillingham of Collegeville, PA

Grandchildren: Christine (Rev. Kevin) Nelson of Gainesville, FL, Matthew (Kanako) Gillingham of Tokyo, Japan

Great-Grandchildren: Kyra, Zoe and Seth Nelson

Services and interment will be privately held in St. John’s Episcopal Cemetery, due to family concerns of covid.
