Obituary of Edward Lee Mace, Sr.
Edward Lee Mace, Sr., “Big Ed” age 73, of Upland, PA, went home to the Lord peacefully on Sunday, January 3, 2021, surrounded by his loved ones at Riddle Memorial Hospital. Edward was born July 9, 1947 and was a man of Baptist faith. Ed was a carpenter for a majority of his life, then he worked as a gun-smith and then retired completely to focus more on family life for the better of his years.
Ed was hard working, supportive of his family, treated many with respect, and welcomed them into his home with open arms. Ed was a man of many tasks, who had a big heart and loved to joke around a lot and make others smile and laugh. Ed was a U.S. Marine Corp. Veteran. He was a devoted father, husband, pop-pop and brother. He loved his family, he loved to hunt, fish, and build/fix things. Most of all, Ed was a big teddy bear and cherished spending time with his granddaughters.
Ed is the son of the late George and Mary (Matsock) Mace; brother of the late Mary Ann Scullian and Shirley Stillman
