Woodie and I shared the same birthday so we had fun trying to outdo each with outrageous birthday cards. He was like the mayor of Lima Estates holding court in the lobby with the AM coffee group. Miss seeing him there, his smile and humor. I remember June and how he took such loving care of her. Sadly missed but he added inspiration to many lives.

Dear Linda and Pam,
We are thinking of you, remembering your father Woodie, and sending our sympathy, love and support to you in this time of grief. We all remember so well your father's wit, intelligence, humor and especially, his love of nature-something we each share with him and with you, a cherished familial link. One of my (Leslee's) first and fondest childhood memories involved your father. When I was only 4 years old and Shelley was a baby, we traveled cross country with our parents by train to visit your family. In the backyard of your home, your father showed me how to catch fireflies in a jar. I can still recall that magical experience very clearly. I was absolutely captivated. The next time I was fortunate enough to experience fireflies, I was an adult, doing research in Belize. In that moment and each time after, when I saw that magical flash, I thought of your father and the gift of awe he gave to me. I will continue to do so.
In memory of your father's love of nature and birds, we have made a donation in his name to the Audubon Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary. We hope that the many memories you have of your father will bring you great comfort at this time. With our love and sympathy, Wanda, Leslee, Shelley and Brett Parr and Margot Ray
