Obituary of George D. Rumford, Jr.

George D. Rumford, Jr., age 79, of Clover, SC, formerly a lifelong resident of Delaware County, PA, died Tuesday, December 8, 2020. George was born July 26, 1941 in Upland, PA. He attended Lincoln Elementary School, Franklin Jr. High School and Chester High School. Mr. Rumford was employed at West Lake Plastics as a supervisor from 1959-1969, and then was employed at ACME, retiring in 1979. George was a member of Word Walking Empowerment Ministry, Chester Twp., PA. He enjoyed; hunting, fishing, camping, woodworking, puzzles, bowling, fishing and leather-work. George also enjoyed cooking and loved being in the kitchen, he would cook for church gatherings. Son of the late George D. and Ruth M. (Whirlow) Rumford, Sr., brother of the late James F. Rumford, David W. Rumford, Patricia Pollidor and Judith Watson. Survivors: Wife of 42 Years: Mary Louise Rumford Son: George D. Rumford, III Step-Sons: Anthony L. Defrank and Martin W.
