Obituary of Vernon D. Bixler

Vernon D. Bixler, Jr., 75, of Brookhaven, PA died Monday, August 29, 2011 at Crozer-Chester Medical Center, Upland, PA. Vernon had been a resident of Brookhaven, PA for fifty years. Vernon worked as a Welder at Westinghouse for 27 years until they closed in 1986. He then started a Landscaping Business working for twenty years along with his family. Vernon was a family man who enjoyed the times they where together. He especially loved his grandchildren and his garden. A sportsman he enjoyed baseball, hunting, clamming, golf and shooting clay pigeons. Vernon enjoyed supervising his son Michael's renovations and loved his loyal dog Heidi who was always by his side. Vernon was the son of the late Vernon Daniel & Merle Harner Bixler SURVIVORS Wife of 52 years, Judith (nee Posey) Bixler Daughter: Carol Anne Bixler Gramiak (Steve) of Essington, PA Son: Michael David Bixler (Katherine) of Wilmington, DE Sisters: Patricia (Robert) Ferguson of Providence, PA,and June M.
