During senior year of high school, my family had been going through a hard time; my grandpop was dying of cancer.
The week after he passed, I went to art class as usual. I was there a little early, along with some other students. For some reason, Greg was down there and when I came down the steps—he saw me and gave me a hug.
And I’ve always remembered that.
Sometimes, you don’t need words or condolences. Sometimes all you need is a hug.
He’s a kind soul that will be greatly missed.
Greg was a ball of sunshine. We had the great pleasure of becoming his friend through Rebecca. He was a kind and thoughtful man. A very funny man too. He lived a lively and love-filled life. He took such great care of his family and it was very apparent how much he loved them all. He will be greatly missed and we shall think of him always. We send much love and strength to Rebecca and the Tait Family.
My daughter is Rebecca’s student and we had the pleasure of meeting Greg on a tour of their beautiful home. He was relaxing on the couch watching a game and greeted my daughter with great warmth and a hearty laugh. As we walked through the house, we could feel the profound love and happiness in the air and the everlasting memories that were created by people who love each other and the lives they share. Thank you, Greg, for building and fostering a space for not only your amazing family but also many others to learn art and appreciate beauty and life.
Greg was like an uncle to me, I took art classes with Rebecca for over 10 years, through those years Greg was always superman. Swooping in to give us our last minute art supplies, running all over south jersey to find viva paper towels. He was the "go-to" man, if you needed anything he was right there! With someone as high energy as Rebecca, Greg was really the perfect man. He was always so cool calm and collected, even in the craziest situations. Growing up with the Tait family I was lucky to witness true love. I know he's still watching over us all, enjoying his Heineken and cheese it's. You think now is a good time to tell your wife about that one time you snuck that turkey hoagie? We love you Greg!!! A beautiful soul that has forever impacted my life
I am so honored to have known this amazing and wonderful man for many years. I enjoyed the talks I had with him and all the times I got to see his smiling face. I am very happy he is at peace and has my mother as a friend in heaven. Thoughts and prayers with his friends and family.
To say that Greg was an amazing, sweet, and loving man is an understatement. He would do absolutely anything for his beloved Rebecca, his children, (which included all of the hundreds of art students over the years), and for his friends & family. You could always count on his loving smile and his contagious laugh. One liners and witty comebacks were always on the tip of his tongue-- ready for anyone who would listen :)
I was blessed to have known Greg for 22 years as I met him when Rebecca was teaching art out of the church hall. He would always come in at some point and bring us doughnuts or some type of treat on Fridays. After he built his gorgeous home for his family, art classes were moved to the studio out of the Tait home. It was here that I really got to know Greg. He would always come down to the studio to say hello and mingle with us. He even scared the daylights out of us quite a few times when he would bang on the basement window when it got dark just to see our reactions!
It was also here in the studio where I saw Greg interact with his family on a regular basis. It was apparent that he loved his wife, children, and animals to the core. As i grew older, Rebecca and Greg became more than just my amazing art teacher and her wonderful husband, they became my genuine friends. I will always hold my relationship with Greg near and dear to my heart because a wonderful person, both inside and out, is hard to find in this world and impossible to forget. May God bless Greg and his family and may we all keep his memories close to our hearts.
I had the pleasure of meeting Greg through Rebecca’s art class that my daughter attended. I also used to see him at ShopRite when he would come in to grab supplies for the many pets he and Rebecca took care of. Through everything he always had a smile and a positive outlook and wouldn’t let anything keep him down. I will miss him. God Bless.
Having only known Greg for several years, I missed most of his time on Earth. However, the times I got to spend with Greg were memorable. From New Year's Eve 2017-2018 and more recently, a few movies (1971 and The Gentlemen), I never heard him once complain. He was a immensely proud man who loved everyone close to him and would do anything for anyone,
He will be missed, for sure.

Even though I only really talked to Greg once I knew immediately that he was a very kind person. Getting to know who he was during art class and hearing Rebecca talk about him was really nice. Praying for the Tait family.
Mr. Tait was the sweetest man I ever had the pleasure of meeting and having as a neighbor. He always had a smile on his face and would help anyone. I'll never forget he was the one to call my mom and explain he rushed my sister to the hospital because she busted her face on her bike. He'd drop anything to help and never asked for a thank you in return. You will greatly be missed. Thoughts and prayers to the Tait family❤️
