Obituary of Geraldine L. Oliver

Geraldine L. (Gerry) Oliver, age 81 Glen Mills, PA and formerly of Chester, PA died on Sunday, July 17, 2011 at Riddle Memorial Hospital, Middletown Twp., PA. Born in Providence, RI. Gerry was a longtime resident of Chester, Pa., before moving to Glen Mills six years ago. A graduate of Darby High School, she later graduated from Temple University with a degree in Journalism. Gerry had been employed by the former Chester Times and later the Delaware County Times until her retirement. A longtime contributor and fund raiser for the Suburban Opera and the James Parkinson Opera Scholarship. She enjoyed reading and loved animals. She was a loving grandmother and a great friend to many. She is survived by her daughter Felice (Gil) Fein of West Chester, PA and her grandsons Kevin and Jason Fein. Memorial contributions to the Academy of Vocal Arts 1920 Spruce Street, Philadelphia, Pa., 19103 would be appreciated.
