Obituary of Edwin H. Beisel
Edwin H. "Ed" Beisel, 88, of Brookhaven, PA died Thursday, July 7, 2011 at Crozer-Chester Medical Center, Upland, PA. Mr. Beisel was born in Philadelphia, PA and had been a well known resident of Brookhaven, PA since 1953.
Mr. Beisel was a graduate of John Bartram High School Class of 1940 and was a veteran of the US Coast Guard serving during World War II. He retired from the Container Research Corporation as the Purchaser in 1984.
Ed truly loved nature and the outdoors. He was a member of the Delaware County Field and Stream since 1942 and was active with the club until he was unable to walk the trails. He enjoyed outdoor sports especially hunting and archery. He was proud of his home and loved working in his garden and taking care of his lawn. He had great appreciation for automobiles especially his classic Mercury. He particularly loved automobile racing mainly NASCAR.
Mr. Beisel was a member of Grace Bible Fellowship Church, Wallingford, PA. He was a man of faith who loved his Lord, his family and his dear friends. He was devoted to his wife of 69 years, who he met in the 5th grade and treasured their life together.
