Obituary of Deanna D. Dehnert

Deanna D. Dehnert, age 80 died Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at Phoenixville Hospital.  Deanna, more affectionately known as DeeDee by her family was the youngest child of five. 

 

She is survived by her brother, Carl G. Dehnert and sister-in-law Pat Dehnert of Royersford.  Also surviving are nieces and nephew: Jean Purchler Kerbs, Greenwich, CT; Lisa Dehnert Grzywacz, Royersford; Karin Madary, Royersford; Mark Dehnert, Royersford; Patti Dehnert Hankins, Pylesville, MD.  DeeDee also had 9 great nieces and nephews and 3 great, great nieces who loved her dearly.  She was preceded in death by her parents George L. Dehnert (d 1988) and Matilda Sauter Dehnert (d 1980); her brother Robert Jones (d 1993); sister Vera Dehnert Purchler (d 2015); sister Elizabeth Dehnert Dugan (d 2009); nephew James Dugan (d 2014); nephew Daniel Dugan (d 1976) and nephew Kevin Dugan (d 1987). 

 

DeeDee was a special needs child and adult who loved to attend workshops and festivals.  She was most recently residing at Parkhouse, Phoenixville.  She also lived a good portion of her life in Kentucky where she loved to visit with her aunts, uncles, and cousins.  As her father, George was an avid swimmer, DeeDee learned to swim at an early age and became a good swimmer.  She loved to collect jewelry, purses, baby dolls and stuffed animals.  Her most favorite person was Santa Claus and she looked forward to visiting with him every Christmas.  Her favorite activity was coloring.  DeeDee had an amazing talent for coloring and would make beautiful pictures. 

Visitation will be held Saturday, February 23rd from 10:00-10:30AM, with a Funeral Service immediately following at 10:30 AM at the Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Middletown (Rte. #352) & Knowlton Rds., Middletown Twp., Media, PA 19063.

Interment will be at Edgewood Memorial Park.
