Memorial Service
Condolences
I am thinking of you, Nancy and Lynn,at this time as the service is starting at Whitehorse. I wish that I could be there to share the memories and fellowship of all the friends gathered there to honor Jane, but we have arrived in Florida for the winter.
Our days together in Wallingford are the most precious of all. Jane, Rick, Earl and I would gather at the end of the day to share a sip or two and hash out political views, neighborhood happenings and plan another trip together in the big blue station wagon. The week in Cape Cod and lobsters EVERY night are among the best of many memories of Jane.
I think of her as she was most recent days and am satisfied that she is now at peace. I saw her last on Sep. 27 and said my goodbyes then. Her diminished strength was obvious.
With much love to all the family,
Betsy
What a gal!
Jane is my aunt, having married my mother's (Toni) brother, Rick. Many good times were shared with our families. Toni always enjoyed spending time with Rick and Jane and was always up for a party. When Toni was diagnosed with cancer, Rick and Jane invited her to the beach and treated her like a queen. After Toni passed, Jane would call me every now and again..checking to make sure Christopher (my brother) and I were doing OK.
She and Rick took great effort and care to attend Christopher's graduation from college in southwestern Virginia in 1985 and my wedding here in NH in 1993. My last visit with her was when she, Lynn and Nancy came to visit me about this time of year. Jane stayed with me and Lynn and Nancy stayed at the Inn. It made me happy to host Jane in my home, returning the favor of all those times I visited them in NJ, PA and at the beach.
God Speed dear Jane, may God's grace surround you with love and peace as you are welcomed home with great anticipation.
Blessings to all of us who will miss her.
