Obituary of Elsie L. Mack

 

1939-2018

Elsie Lorraine (nee Bogert) Mack, age 79, of Aston Township, PA, died peacefully on Thursday, September 20, 2018, surrounded by loving family. Elsie was born in New Columbus, PA. She graduated from North West Area High School and then moved to West Philadelphia, PA, where she met the love of her life, William M. Mack and worked for Bell Telephone. Elsie and her late husband William (Bill) co-owned and operated the Old Chimney Sweep/ Grate Fireplace Woodstove and Accessories in Aston/West Chester for more than fifty years.  Elsie and Bill were members of Mt. Hope United Methodist Church. Elsie had a large family who she loved dearly.  She enjoyed the simple pleasures in life like good conversation, the telephone, music, and getting her hair and nails done.  She was an avid Philadelphia sports fan, especially the Phillies. 

Elsie was the daughter of the late Harry and Hulda Bogert (Chapin). She was predeceased by her loving husband of 57 years, the late William Mack and her siblings Leland (Arlene), Guy, and Stanley Bogert, extended family Alice and James Kerchner, Michaelina and Edward Licwinko, Leona Krevitski, Byron Burgess, and Lou Harris.

Survivors:

Daughters: Julie Ferreri (Larry), Linda Mack Kaufmann (Joel), Alicia Mack-Wieder (Rob) & Rebecca Mack (Erick Weber)

Sons: William M. Mack, II (Carrie), James Mack (Lisa) & Michael Mack

Grandchildren: Nicholas, Kristin, and Ashley Ferreri, Robert (Samantha) and Daniel Kaufmann, John Robert and Kaitlyn Wieder, William M. Mack III (Gabrielle), Lauren Meyer (Paul), James and Rebecca Mack, Brian Cray (Kelly), Christopher Donaldson, Keri Weber, Rebecca Mack-Weber, Danielle Shaw (Nathan), Michelle (Pete), Jacqueline and Michael Mack II

Great Grandchildren:  AJ Ferreri, Lennon and Otilie Shaw, Bentley Borican, Kori Arthur, Charlotte Meyer, and Eddie Buck

Siblings:  Erma Harris, Ernest Bogert (Edna), Florence Burgess, Ruth Johnson (Ken), Donald Bogert (Mary Ellen), Rebecca Wolfe (Ed), Sisters in law:  Blanche Bogert and Judy Bogert

Extended Family:  Ray and Steven Krevitski, Amy (Frank) and Paige Kramar

Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service:  Thursday, September 27th at 11:00 AM, at Mt. Hope United Methodist Church, 882 Concord Rd, Aston, PA 19014.

Visitation: Wednesday, September 26th from 6:00 - 8:00 PM, and Thursday, September 27th from 9:00 - 10:00 AM, at the Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Ltd., Middletown (Rte #352) & Knowlton Roads, Middletown Twp., Media, PA 19063.

Interment: Mt. Hope Cemetery, Aston, PA.
